Amy’s Mountain Dog Training offers one-on-one private lesson packages.
In these one-on-one private lessons, we train you and your dog. This is the perfect solution for dogs needing extra support with basic obedience or behavior problems. We cover recall, leash walking, jumping, barking, good manners, listening, basic puppy training, potty training, chewing mouthing, and more!
Service areas include Evergreen, Kittredge, Conifer, Pine, Pine Junction, Morrison, Indian Hills, Floyd Hill, Genesee, and Lookout Mountain.

Dog Behavioral 8 Lesson Package
8 lesson pack of 45 min. lessons.
$720.00 for all 8 lessons. For dogs who have mild behavior issues.
This package includes eight private lessons. This allows time not only to teach your dog the skills they need but also to reinforce and proof them in different settings. This is a crucial component of lasting success.
This is for dogs who are mildly reactive to other dogs or people on the leash when on walks, in the neighborhood, or at home. I will go over the training exercises with you and discuss everything so that you have an understanding of how the training will work.
The first time we meet we will be discussing a training plan of what your needs are for you and your dog. This will take 15 - 30 minutes. Then with the remaining time we will start with training, and begin addressing the issues you are having with your dog. If there are multiple issues, we need to focus on one issue/ problem at a time.
In the second lesson, we will review how everything has been going with training. Then we will review from the first lesson, and start working on the next issue.
In the third lesson we will review how everything has been going with training. Then start working on the last issues. Plus make sure that you understand what to keep doing with your dog for training.
The fourth- eighth lessons are follow-up. We will meet once a week, or once every two weeks. We have 10 weeks to complete this package, in case you need to cancel.
Deposit Policy for Private Lessons:
A non-refundable $100 deposit is required to reserve your private lesson. I’ll send you an invoice for payment during our phone or email consultation. If you sign up for a private lesson package online, you’ll pay the $100 deposit upfront, and the remaining balance will be collected at your first lesson.
Cancellation Policy for Private Lessons:
If you have scheduled a private dog training lesson and need to cancel, Amy’s Mountain Dog Training, LLC, the owner requires 24 hours advance notice. Otherwise a cancellation fee of $45.00, which is 50%, of the cost, of the lesson will be due.

Private Lesson Packages 4-Hour and 6-Hour Sessions Include:

In our first lesson, we’ll spend 15–30 minutes discussing your goals and developing a personalized training plan for your dog. We’ll then begin foundational training by focusing on essential listening skills. These early skills are key to long-term success.

Lesson 2 and Beyond:
In our second session, we’ll dive deeper into training and begin addressing the specific challenges you’re experiencing. Each issue will be broken down in a step-by-step manner. We’ll start in your home environment and gradually move to more distracting settings, such as parks or public spaces, to ensure solid progress. If your dog is struggling with multiple issues, we’ll focus on one behavior at a time. This allows us to address each challenge thoroughly and effectively.
