About Us
At Amy’s Mountain Dog Training, we believe that the heart of great training isn’t about obedience alone it’s about connection, communication and joy. We help dogs and their people understand one another, grow together and enjoy life more fully whether that’s walking through Evergreen, hiking around Conifer or playing in the foothills community.
Our Philosophy
Training should feel good for both you and your dog. That’s why we use positive, force-free methods rooted in modern canine science. No prong collars. No shock. No intimidation. Just clear communication, patience and techniques that tap into what your dog already wants to offer: cooperation, curiosity and enthusiasm.
Every dog learns differently. Every family has unique goals. We honor that by customizing our approach so training fits your life not the other way around.
Who We Are
Amy Fuester founder, trainer, canine communicator started this business out of a simple belief: dogs deserve training that makes life better, not harder. With years of hands-on experience and real results across behavior work and obedience, Amy brings calm confidence, heartfelt encouragement and a genuine love for each dog she meets.
Whether you’re working on foundational manners, refining communication or navigating behavior challenges, Amy meets you with clarity, kindness and practical tools that work in the real world.
What We Do
We help families with:
-
Puppy socialization & foundational training
-
Obedience & manners (sit, stay, walk nicely, recall)
-
Behavior support (leash pulling, barking, jumping, fear responses)
-
Private lessons & customized plans
-
Group classes & community learning
-
Online programs
From your first session to confident everyday life, we build training around what you care about most — peaceful walks, happy interactions, reliable recall, and a dog who thrives.
Where We Serve
We’re proudly based in the Colorado foothills, helping dog lovers in:
Evergreen, CO
Conifer, CO
Pine, CO
…and surrounding mountain communities
Whether you’re right in town or up the trail, our approach is grounded in real-life skills you can use at home, on walks and wherever your dog goes.
Why It Works
Because at Amy’s Mountain Dog Training, it’s not just about rules it’s about relationships. When training feels good and makes sense, dogs learn faster and retain more. You’ll walk away with tools you understand and confidence your dog trusts.
